I live in Michigan and am one of the people who gets your RedStateEclectic newsletter.

Congratulations on staying true to your principles. Many talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk. The Republican party is not the party I once knew. I voted for the first time in 1972 and it was for Nixon. I have continued to watch as our country went very slowly downhill. Once the Bushes, Clintons, and Obama took office, it seems our country has lost any semblance of unity or coming together. My husband and I are considering changing our registration as well, but need more soul searching. None of the candidates are very good in either party. But we shall see what happens between now and November. As one of my former legislators once said...If you are feeling like you have a target on your back, you must be doing the right thing.

Again, congratulations on staying true to your principles as there are way too many that pay lip service.

Thank you Chris!

Of all days to decide to poke around... I didn't even know you were a Senator!

Congrats for being elected and CONGRATS for sticking to your principles, Senator. While my respect has never wavered, it's certainly just notched up big-time. I pray that the good people of Nebraska (and beyond) will rally around you and that you will draw even more courage from that support.

Welcome to the Libertarian Party, Laura!

Thanks, Eric! Haven't heard from you for a while--but I've also been in and out of here less frequently.

And thank you, George, for the welcome!
