Laura Ebke tells us
Here in Nebraska, we’re getting our first really nasty winter blast. The last couple of days have been in the single digits, temperature-wise, and right now we’ve still got a little bit of snow falling (I suppose we’ve gotten 3 inches or so).
The source.
Laura, I hope the weather in Nebraska is not and will never be as bad as in the below video. The only avalanche I would want to see you get involved in is a land slide victory in the Laura Ebke for Legislature campaign.
If the video does not work, try here.
Incidentally, an all-time record low of -91.2°C (-132,16°F) has been recorded in Antarctica in 2004. We do not seem to be getting any near this here in Germany with continuing mild daytime winter temperatures of rarely below 5°C (41°F). It is as if there were some global warming going on, which in fact is not the case, unfortunately.
Thanks, Georg! We've had times with plenty of snow, but fortunately (I guess) we're not high risks for avalanche--nowhere on our rolling plains for the snow to go, I guess.
