Two reminiscences from the good old days.
I remember the Hovercraft as being the fastest and most convenient sea-bound means of transport for crossing the channel.
And this commercial - did the hovering lawnmower ever put in a serious appearance in the American market?
I remember my first computer, a Tandy 64K. The instruction manual said "your computer never forgets, unless you turn it off". You had to type all this stuff in to get it to do anything. fun times.

My first computer experience was with the Apple Macintosh in 1985, I believe. It felt like a miracle. I totally loved it.
