Let's see - back when Juan WIlliams was fired from NPR for saying something that apparently endeared him to Fox News so much they immediately hired him to make Geraldo look good, Sarah Palin called for defunding NPR.

CBS rushed to report the story . no doubt to remind us all of how stupid Palin must be, because "NPR doesn't receive direct federal funding for operations." Their words. Copied right from their page. Go look - right there, at the link.

Columbia's Journalism Review verfied this fact: NPR actually does not receive any government funding for its operations costs.

So imagine my (feigned) surprise when I saw Instapundit's link: "LOYAL OBAMA SUPPORTER NPR thanks Obama for money in the budget."

Because we're stupid like that, I guess.

Go ahead and click through.  They're not only not getting defunded, they're getting a $6 million raise.
