Not the best sound quality, but you get the idea. Sen. Davis has been a big help to the South Carolina C4L as well as being in good standing with many tea party types. Hard to say what the impact will be. I notice that Dr. Paul spends more time on the beach and in the mountains than here in the midlands.
The mountain area (Greenville/Spartanburg) is the big political hot spot for Ron Paul republicans. Those two cities bring with them an ample helping of support for the good doctor. I’ve made several trips up there for events and know of many in my area who have done the same. The beach (Myrtle Beach/Hilton Head) holds a good many transients from other locals who retire there and are open to Ron Paul’s ideas. Here in the midland area, however, not too much of a Ron Paul republicanism. Kind of a Strom Thurmond go-along-to-get-along type of GOP with a strong penchant for foreign adventurism. It’s better than four years ago, for sure, but that can be said for the Paul campaign in general.
Tomorrow’s Aiken Forum event will be telling. I’m hoping to attend for at least part of it.
