I was not aware of Ten Buck Friday until about 10 minutes ago. You can read about it here, but it is a multi-blog initiative started at www.rightklik.net. The premise is simple:
You'll find a list of a few conservative candidates with links to sites where you can find more information about them. You get to vote on which candidate needs our money the most. At the end of the week, the winner is announced. The winner will be promoted by dozens of conservative blogs and will receive contributions from people across the country.
As the web site says: These candidates can't depend on the Republican establishment to give them the support they need. The RNC and the NRCC have about $22 million combined, compared to $33 million for the DCCC. "If conservatives online don't start paying attention, November 2 may be another one of those ‘agony of defeat' moments - a long night of tearful Republican concession speeches that bring smiles to the faces of Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, and Keith Olbermann."
BJ Lawson won their poll, as well as an endorsement from Senator Tom Coburn. Congratulations BJ!
