How many received one in the mail? I threw away the childish letter from Mike and kept the “Census” for a few laughs. First, the idea that they call it a census is right up there with the republican willingness to control. Obey the census. Second, the profile leaves me answering questions in a very narrow range. How funny to think that I used to hate written tests when I was a kid. I would love to be able to send them a written answer these days. Of the oddest answers is the little box to check signifying “No Opinion”. Oh, I’ve got an opinion.
Then there are some voter frequency questions. Yes I participate in this charade although sometimes I wonder why.
Question #4 asks if I will be voting republican or democrat come November. Hmmm, they list their lifelong enemy, the democrats, yet they fail to mention any other party. I wonder why that is?
Question #8 is a doozy: “How much does it concern you that the Democrats have total control of the government?” Let’s all answer in tandem, shall we? AS MUCH AS IT DID WHEN THE REPUBLICANS HAD TOTAL CONTROL!
Easy now… calming down. Ahhhhh. Inner peeeeeace. In… In… Inner pea…………………… stuff it! It’s political dribble – going on about all sorts of issues that the republicans either didn’t address or made worse during their years in power – which is all that they want along with their brother democrats. Honestly! Is this any way for a grown country to act?
