America the Unfriendly

Andrew Sullivan has been chronicling examples of "over the top" behavior toward American citizens returning from overseas trips (as well as unconscionably rude behavior by customs agents toward foreign visitors who have perfectly legal visas).  Here's his latest.  He's also got some links at the bottom of the piece which will take you to other horror stories.

I'm sending my daughter to Europe next summer with a group of college students.  Should I be worried--not about her trip, but her return?  Let's take some of this abuse of power away from the government.
